Traditional Nativity Scene Unveiled by Amici di San Tomaso in Lonato
It is a nativity scene that stays true to traditional roots, set up by the group Amici di San Tomaso of Lonato (the one famously known to everyone as the “Mad Bikes”), which will be inaugurated today at 8 PM. This year, visitors will arrive directly at the center of the Nativity scene through the cave that houses it. “In this way,” explains Luciano Roberti, “we wanted to engage the community more—those who for many years, during Christmas, stop by our village, because as Don Giorgio used to say, you don’t always have to go far to see beautiful things.”
Concert and Exhibition
Tomorrow at 9 PM, in front of the church of San Tomaso, which borders the shed housing the setup, there will be a concert featuring some members of the municipal band. Inside, an exhibition of drawings titled “My Christmas” will also be inaugurated, organized by the catechism students. And of course, everyone will enjoy panettone and mulled wine.
