A traffic accident caused significant disruptions in Bedizzole yesterday, Wednesday, May 7, around 1:45 PM, inside the San Marco tunnel along the State Road 11. Two vehicles collided head-on in a violent impact that necessitated immediate rescue intervention. According to initial reports, an 18-year-old woman driving a car heading towards Brescia lost control and veered into the opposite lane, striking another vehicle driven by a 58-year-old man. Fortunately, both drivers did not sustain serious injuries.
The accident resulted in a complete closure of the roadway in both directions for approximately three hours, with emergency personnel engaged in investigations and securing the area. Firefighters were dispatched to the scene due to smoke emitted from one of the vehicles, along with an ambulance and patrols from the Local Police of Calcinato-Bedizzole. The incident caused significant traffic congestion, creating inconveniences for motorists passing through the area.
