A nighttime tragedy has shaken Calvagese della Riviera, where a 42-year-old woman was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver while she was standing on the shoulder of the SP78, near the airfield on Via Marconi in the Carzago Riviera district. The accident occurred around 1:30 AM, and the driver of the vehicle involved fled the scene immediately after the impact, making identification difficult. Despite the prompt intervention of emergency services, there was nothing that could be done for the woman.
Firefighters, along with the highway police and the local police of Salò, responded to the scene of the tragedy to manage the situation and initiate the necessary investigations to piece together the details of the incident. Authorities are now seeking witnesses who may provide useful information to help track down the person responsible for the accident.
