A head-on collision occurred today, Friday, April 18, around 12:30 PM on Viale Europa, involving a car carrying two girls aged 8 and 11, along with their 6-year-old brother and their 39-year-old uncle. The impact between the vehicle driven by the man and another car coming from the opposite direction resulted in severe head injuries for the two girls, who were urgently transported in critical condition to the Pediatric Civil Hospital in Brescia. Currently, both are in critical condition, although they are not in life-threatening situations.
The conditions of the rest of the family are less severe: the uncle and the younger brother were transferred in yellow code to the hospital in Desenzano. The driver of the other vehicle involved, a 62-year-old man, was unharmed. Three ambulances and a medical car responded to the scene of the accident, along with firefighters to extricate the family from the wreckage. Local police closed the affected road section to facilitate rescue operations, causing significant traffic disruptions in the area.
