A serious road accident occurred in the late afternoon of Monday, March 24, in San Felice del Benaco, where a 95-year-old man was struck by a car while crossing the pedestrian crosswalk on Viale Italia. The incident took place around 5:30 PM, when a Lancia Y, driven by an 80-year-old woman, hit the elderly man who was crossing with the aid of a cane. Following the impact, the man was thrown several meters onto the asphalt, sustaining severe injuries.
The alarm was immediately raised to emergency services by a passing motorist who witnessed the event. Emergency responders from Nue 112 arrived on the scene, including an ambulance from Valtenesi Soccorso, a medical car, and an air ambulance. The elderly man, born in 1929, was urgently transported in code red to the Spedali Civili in Brescia for necessary medical treatment. The driver of the vehicle reportedly did not notice the presence of the elderly man before the collision; the car involved has been seized, and local police managed traffic during the rescue operations.
