A violent traffic accident occurred this morning, August 4, 2025, in Toscolano Maderno, when a work van lost control and crashed into the wall of a house shortly after 8 AM. Initial investigations suggest that the accident may have been caused by a failure in the braking system as the vehicle was navigating a particularly steep descent. Emergency services, including the Garda Volunteers with an ambulance, the Salò Fire Department, and a local police patrol, responded to the scene to conduct investigations.
The driver, of Albanian descent, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted in critical condition to the Poliambulanza Hospital in Brescia. A colleague was also in the van but only suffered minor injuries. Authorities are currently investigating the exact causes of the accident and the circumstances surrounding it.
