A heavy vehicle caught fire this morning, Monday, March 3, causing a traffic jam on the A4 motorway between Brescia and Desenzano. The fire was reported around 7 AM when the truck, loaded with timber, ignited. Long queues quickly formed along the motorway due to the need to extinguish the flames.

To ensure the safety of motorists, law enforcement closed the section with mandatory exit at the Brescia Est toll booth. Firefighters and police were on site to manage the situation and redirect traffic to alternative routes. Traffic was particularly congested on the southern bypass and nearby state roads as well.
