In the quiet town of Lonato del Garda, a tragedy has occurred that has left everyone speechless. Two people were found dead in an apartment, under circumstances that are still unclear. According to initial investigative hypotheses, it appears to be a case of murder-suicide.
Cristian Catalano allegedly killed a Chinese woman before taking his own life. Investigators have identified two violent incidents that took place in the bedroom and bathroom of the residence. The woman was reportedly struck in the wrist veins, while Catalano inflicted cuts to his own neck after slashing his wrists.
However, there are still many doubts and uncertainties to be resolved. One of the most disturbing elements is the large amount of blood found in the apartment. Additionally, fetal ultrasounds were found in the woman’s bag, which could indicate a possible pregnancy. This hypothesis cannot be confirmed at this time without medical reports.
The autopsy on the bodies of the victims was conducted at the Institute of Legal Medicine in Brescia and confirmed that both died from blood loss. However, the underlying motivation behind these tragic acts remains unknown. Catalano had mentioned to his colleagues, who held him in high regard, “a moment of tiredness and the need for rest.”
The initial investigations seem to support the hypothesis of murder-suicide, as no third-party fingerprints were found in the apartment. However, further investigations and toxicological analysis are still ongoing to obtain definitive answers.
