A tragic incident in the water has affected a 52-year-old German tourist in Manerba, during a day at the beach at Baia Bianca in Dusano. The incident occurred on the afternoon of Monday, June 2, after 2:00 PM, when the man was seen lifeless in the water. Despite the attempts of his friends to bring him to shore and the prompt intervention of the emergency medical services, who also used a defibrillator, all efforts to revive him were in vain.
In light of the incident, the Coast Guard emphasized the importance of safe swimming, warning that the lake’s waters are still cold and advising against diving immediately after sun exposure or eating. It is essential to wait at least three hours after the last meal and to enter the water gradually to reduce the risk of aquatic shock. The air ambulance and the Local Police of Manerba were also present on-site to manage the situation.
