Training for caregivers: the Lake Garda project
A new training project dedicated to local caregivers has been launched by Garda Sociale and the Credo Association. The program, titled “We Take Care,” aims to support those who assist ill or disabled family members by offering training courses in the locations of Salò, Manerba del Garda, Lonato, and Pozzolengo. Activities will commence in September 2025 and will include three theoretical meetings on crucial topics such as the role of the caregiver and support networks, accompanied by practical workshops for learning handling techniques.
The project arises from the need to provide adequate tools to a growing number of caregivers, who are often unaware of their challenges. With the collaboration of local entities and professionals experienced in the social and health sectors, “We Take Care” seeks to create synergies between social services and families. To participate, registration for one of the available courses is required through a dedicated online form, which also specifies the dates and times of the meetings.
