The 38th edition of the Trans Benaco Cruise Race is set to set sail on July 27, 2024, from the island of Garda, with an intermediate stop in Riva and a final arrival the following day in the waters of Portese. Organized by the Portese Sailing Club, which celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2024, the regatta will involve bulb boats over six meters and will offer not only sports competition but also a cruising and seafaring experience, with dinner and an overnight stay in a port on Lake Garda.
The event was presented at the Scolari winery in Raffa di Puegnago in the presence of numerous local politicians and representatives of the Sailing Federation. Registrations are open until July 24, with around fifty boats expected to start. Among the main sponsors is Lefay Resort. The award ceremony will take place on August 25 during the Trans Benaco for two, emphasizing the importance of the event both for sports and for the promotion of the beauties of the Garda area.
