Traubenkur 2001 Begins in Arco with Wine and Grape Events
With the inauguration ceremony held yesterday afternoon at the municipal casino of Arco, the 2001 edition of the Traubenkur officially began. For three weeks, the entire Busa area, particularly the town of Arco, will be immersed in the traditional and evocative “grape cure,” where the highlight will predominantly be the fine Trentino wine.
Immediately after the inauguration—attended by the municipal administrators of Arco and Riva, the provincial councilor Benedetti, the president of the Garda Trentino Apt, and various representatives from the economic and tourism sectors of the region—free distribution of must and grapes commenced. This was followed by the exhibition dedicated to “sparkling wines and grappas of Trentino,” where from this year it will also be possible to taste, alongside wines, delicious typical products from Alto Garda.
Event Program
The ceremony was accompanied by a brief performance by the Dro and Ceniga social band, and then, at 8:30 PM, by a concert by the Moonshiners. The event will continue today with the Lago di Tenno Choir on the veranda of the casino, and with the opening of tasting points in Torbole and Riva, where, under the porticoes of the town hall, a branch of the wine exhibition will also be open.
Many events are scheduled for the coming days, starting with guided tours of the farms and wineries of Lower Sarca. The Traubenkur will conclude on October 7.
