An important initiative has recently been launched in Toscolano Maderno, where the municipality has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Italian Alpine Club (CAI) of Salò to enhance the local hiking trail network. Among the planned actions is the creation of a new trekking route called the “Anello del Serà”, which will develop along existing CAI trails and will be dedicated to experienced hikers. This project, presented by Councillor Vittoria Goi, aims to improve the accessibility and safety of the mountainous area while promoting awareness of the surrounding environment.
The “Anello del Serà” will offer a circular route that will pass through picturesque locations such as Monte Pizzocolo, Spino, and Campei, with completion expected by 2027. The memorandum also includes plans for uniform trail signage and necessary maintenance interventions, thereby contributing to the sustainable management of local natural resources. The municipality will allocate approximately 26,000 euros to the CAI over the next three years to support these activities.
