The 5 Miles of Ghiottone returns to Tremosine after a few years’ absence, featuring a gastronomic walk that will take place on Monday, June 2nd. This eagerly anticipated event for food lovers and enthusiasts of local cuisine offers the chance to explore typical products of the area through a culinary route that traverses breathtaking landscapes, including woods and charming villages. Registration is open until the 600 available spots are filled, inviting participants to discover traditional flavors paired with selected wines.
The itinerary includes several culinary stops, starting with an aperitif in Vesio and continuing at the Alpe del Garda cheese factory for tastings of local cheeses and cured meats. Among the specialties to savor will be the famous “tortèi” made with Tremosine cheese and fried lake fish. The walk will conclude with typical sweets such as pandolce from Voiandes, while coffee and “corrections” will mark the end of the gastronomic experience. The cost to participate is 42 euros, with discounts available for children and for those staying in establishments associated with the Pro Loco.
