Tremosine Leads Conference on Contrada of Pieve and the Community of Riviera

A conference titled **“Tremosine at the time of the Comunità di Riviera: the Contrada of Pieve”** will be held **Sunday, 19 at 8.30 pm** at the **Museo Must**, as part of celebrations marking the **600 years of the Magnifica Patria**. Scholars will present research on the **Contrada of Pieve**, based on studies carried out by the **Associazione storico-archeologica della Riviera** between the late 1970s and the early 2000s.

The event will also feature updates from new investigations into the village, using mainly **16th-century written sources** and comparisons between **1978** photographs of buildings and images from **2005–2007**, alongside current elevation surveys documented through works by **Domenico Marchetti**. The project includes the publication of multiple volumes, starting with one dedicated to **Pieve**, the main settlement overlooking the area from a cliff, with **Gian Pietro Brogiolo** and **Giacomo Girardi** presenting early findings and **Katia Girardi** outlining restoration and enhancement initiatives she has led on selected buildings.
