Tremosine Musical Itineraries: Classical Concerts and Cultural Discovery
Presented by the highly successful results of previous years, we are pleased to announce the fourth edition of Musical Itineraries in Tremosine, a cultural and musical journey consisting of four classical music concerts in the churches of the Tremosine hamlets, aimed at exploring their history and the artworks contained within.
Objectives and characteristics of the event
The event does not aim to present large-scale musical performances; rather, we wish to offer an ideal musical journey performed by young yet already established musicians, across the hamlets of the Municipality of Tremosine (this year for the first time in Villa and Priezzo), and to contribute to a deeper dissemination of knowledge about the artworks present in our territory, without sacrificing the quality of the musical offerings, which remain very high again this year.
Institutional collaborations
Confirming the validity of the approach we have chosen for our initiative in support of cultural tourism, we are proud to announce once again the important collaboration with FAI (Fondo per l’Ambiente Italiano) – an Foundation supported by 30,000 members across Italy, dedicated to the discovery, enhancement, and preservation of sites of historical, artistic, and natural value – which has decided to support the Musical Itineraries of Tremosine, and for the first time, to also have the endorsement of the Provincia di Brescia and the Comunidade Parco Alto Garda Bresciano.
Program and initiatives for this year
This year’s edition will feature a course in Baroque chamber music, harpsichord, and basso continuo for young musicians, to be held in Pieve di Tremosine from August 12 to 18, conducted by Michele Barchi and Paolo Beschi, culminating with a concert on August 18 in the Parish Church of Pieve di Tremosine.
To assist in the planning, we have appointed Maestro Cesare Maffei as Artistic Director, and musicologist Enrico Raggi will critically present the various musical moments.
