Trentino Wins Top Honors at Extravergini 2026 Competition in Torri del Benaco

Slow Food Italia’s 2026 guide highlights Trentino as a notable region, awarding Giulia Zampiccoli of Laghel 7 a special mention for young producers at the April 11 event in Torri del Benaco. The guide features 776 producers and over 1,200 oils, emphasizing quality and biodiversity preservation.

Laghel 7, certified organic since 2009 and specializing in Casaliva olives, was founded in 2003 and has expanded into educational activities. Despite a significant drop in olive harvest for 2025, industry figures stress the importance of investing in olive oil culture. The region received multiple awards, including the Slow Food Chiocciola for Laghel 7 and Maso Bòtes.
