Trento and Verona Reach Cycling Safety Pact in the Adige Valley

The provinces of Trento and Verona have approved an agreement to secure the EuroVelo 7 cycle path at Mama d’Avio on their border, funding a 34-metre roundabout with a surrounding cycle-pedestrian route at a total cost of €850,000 (Trento €550,000; Verona €300,000).

The intervention responds to safety issues at the intersection of provincial roads SP11 (Verona) and SP90 (Trento), where there are no dedicated lanes and bus stops; the roundabout is also intended to improve traffic flow toward Borghetto. Verona has allocated its share in the 2024–26 budget for 2025, while Trento has included the project in its sectoral infrastructure and transport planning document.
