Trento Awards 12.5 Million Contract for Loppio-Busa Tunnel Infrastructure

Five bids have been submitted for a €12.5 million contract to upgrade lighting, ventilation, and fire safety systems at the Loppio-Busa tunnel connecting San Giovanni and Cretaccio. The procurement process, held at Apac offices, is currently suspended pending the appointment of a technical commission to evaluate proposals.

This project is part of the larger S 815 UF2 tunnel construction, which is approximately 90% complete and valued at around €85 million. The tunnel is expected to be finished and open to traffic within the year. The autonomous Province of Trento has confirmed ongoing interest from contractors for this work package.
