Trento Divers Locate Ferrari Legnami Truck at 60 Meters Deep

They had been searching for it since last Friday, and last night around 9:30 p.m., they managed to find it. The men from the Trento Submarine Rescue Unit (Nucleo Sommozzatori di Trento) and the Riva firefighters discovered the location of the truck belonging to Ferrari Legnami, which on Thursday morning had unexpectedly slipped from the ferry “Brennero,” sinking into the waters in front of Casa Rossa.

Time and methods of discovery

After extensive searches carried out over these days with the aid of a camera, the divers located the Fiat 140 at a depth of approximately 60 meters, very close to the point where the trucks from Oberosler-Collini unload the debris from the tunnel excavation.

Decisions regarding vehicle recovery

In the coming hours, the technicians will decide, together with Giovanni Ferrari, the owner of the company who miraculously survived the accident, whether to recover the vehicle.
