The “Beyond the Finish Line: The Science Behind Sports” exhibition at MUSE in Trento, running from January 31, 2024, to September 27, 2026, explores how science and technology enhance Olympic and Paralympic sports. Covering over 500 square meters, the interactive exhibit features hands-on activities focused on agility, speed, strength, and endurance, including setups for sitting volleyball, floor curling, and functional testing for Paralympic adaptations.
The exhibition showcases original sports equipment such as Tadej Pogačar’s Tour de France yellow jersey and bike, Vittorio Podestà’s gold medal from Rio 2016, and Daniele Molmenti’s kayak. It also includes adaptive testing stations and accessibility features like tactile maps, audio content, and sign language translations, supporting inclusive visitor engagement. The opening was attended by local officials, MUSE leadership, and curators.
