Treviso firm to restore Torre Apponale clock by 2000 for Rivana
The municipality has commissioned the Fagan company from Treviso to repair the Torre Apponale clock and required that the work be completed by the year 2000.
Today, it is believed that by Christmas, the Torre Apponale clock, restored with its dials, will strike the hours for the Rivana residents as it once did.
The company, specialized in bells, will reconstruct the outer dial in iron featuring Roman numerals made of copper sheet; a film with Arabic numerals will be applied over the blue of the central circle, and a radio link will be installed to control the bell.
The total cost is 33.6 million lire plus VAT, amounting to a total of 37 million lire.
