The Trofeo 3 Laghi Triathlon has been established, an initiative that brings together the sporting communities of Salò, Monte Isola, and Idro to promote triathlon in Lombardy. The clubs Canottieri Garda Salò, Venus Triathlon Academy Iseo, and Spartacus Triathlon Lecco have joined forces to create a circuit that includes three events: the Triathlon Sprint Monte Isola on May 17, the Triathlon Sprint Città di Salò on May 25, and the Idroman on June 8. Massimo Ruffini, the event’s organizational manager and newly appointed FITRI delegate for the province of Brescia, emphasizes the importance of attracting new participants and developing synergies among the associations.
The first event will take place on the largest lake island in Europe, followed by the race in Salò, which has seen a growing number of registrations over the years. Finally, the circuit will conclude with the Idroman “Alive in Hell,” a competition known for its difficulty. With this initiative, the organizers aim to renew interest in the sport and engage athletes from other European countries as well.
