The 8th Sprint Triathlon Città di Salò is gearing up for an exciting day on the Benaco, featuring approximately 600 international athletes from Italy, Austria, Germany, Spain, and Switzerland. The event will take place on May 26, 2024, with the race starting at 1:00 PM from the “spiaggetta delle Rive,” where competitors will tackle the first swimming segment of 750 meters. This edition introduces a new route for the cycling leg, excluding the course in the Municipality of San Felice due to local elections, and replacing it with a new three-lap circuit that includes an elevation gain of 282 meters.
Among the favorites are last year’s winners, Federico Murero and Elisa Marcon, as well as athletes like Tania Molinari and Giovanni Aruffo. Notably, young Giulio Pasquini will also be participating, supported by his father and the Maratonabili association, bringing a strong message of inclusivity. The competition will culminate with the final running segment through the historic center of Salò, finishing in Piazza Serenissima. The event is organized by the Società Canottieri Garda Salò in collaboration with the local municipality and various local sponsors.
