In August, Salò will host a series of film screenings dedicated to the renowned director Federico Fellini, alongside local filmmakers Angio Zane and Stefano Cipani. The first event will take place on August 6 in the cloister of MuSa, featuring a screening of “La voce della luna” (1990), Fellini’s last film, presented by Marco Leonetti, director of the Fellini Museum. This film, which explores contemporary myths and rituals through poetic storytelling, stars Roberto Benigni and Paolo Villaggio. Following this, on August 7, there will be a conference titled “Federico Fellini. The Infinite Parabola of Design,” featuring art historian Marcello Riccioni and neuropsychologist Anna Cantagallo.
The series will continue on August 16 with the screening of “Brigliadoro” (1959) by Angio Zane, a black-and-white adventure film celebrating the centenary of the birth of the Salò-born director. Finally, on August 23, “Educazione fisica” (2022) by Stefano Cipani will be screened, preceded by a talk from the director himself. All events are promoted by the Fondazione Opera Pia Laicale and the Istituto Lodroniano in collaboration with the Cultural Department of the Municipality of Salò, and admission is free until capacity is reached.
