A fire involved a heavy goods vehicle in Desenzano del Garda on the morning of Monday, March 3rd, leading to the closure of the A4 motorway for approximately three hours. The incident occurred at 6:56 AM, when the firefighters from Brescia were alerted to the flames that completely destroyed the truck’s cab, which was carrying wood. The accident took place at kilometer 242+400, between the Brescia East and Desenzano toll booths in the direction of Venice.
Firefighters arrived on the scene with a fire truck, along with the police and personnel from the motorway company. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries. The motorway closure began at 7:00 AM, and traffic was restored around 10:00 AM, although significant delays persisted for some time due to the incident.
