Ttg Incontri 2023 Crowds and New Opportunities in the Travel Industry

That the latest edition of Ttg Incontri, which concluded last Sunday, would be a success was evident from the very beginning. During the pre-opening day alone, the number of accreditation badges issued reached an incredible 4,500. Confirming these astonishing figures, the following days saw a real crowd of operators filling the Palafiere della Baltera.

“A total of 8,500 specialized operators are expected,” read the press releases on the eve. However, just a few hours later, these projections were pleasantly contradicted by reality: at the end of the three days, almost 10,000 industry professionals visited the pavilions of Ttg Incontri.

This record confirms, if there was still any doubt, Rivoli’s event as the most important in Europe for travel industry professionals. An impressive number of visitors, therefore, alongside over 570 national and international companies that chose Riva to announce new developments for the upcoming winter season: national tour operators, airlines, hotel groups, and agency networks.

Future prospects and news

Just as the 37th edition closed, significant updates for next year are already announced, including the participation of Enit. “At Ttg Incontri — explained Piergiorgio Togni, Director of the Ente Nazionale Italiano per il Turismo — it is possible to meet a crowd of ten thousand tourism professionals. We believe it’s important to showcase to Italian travel agents the services we can offer to Italy and abroad,” he stated.

An only, albeit significant, shadow cast over the Rivoli negotiations has been the “dollar-euro” exchange rate, which risks hindering the development plans of many companies and, for this reason, is a source of serious concern for all tourism operators.

The supervaluation of the US dollar and the crude oil price represent major uncertainties for the future, though tour operators have promised not to pass on the significant price increases to the end consumer, but rather reduce their profit margins to counteract the rise.

Among other innovations announced during this edition is the launch of a new fair, organized by Ttg Italia (Travel Trade Gazzetta, organizer of the Rivoli event): “Tti“, an itinerant workshop for receptive tourism scheduled to take place at the Lingotto in Turin from April 9 to 11, 2001.
