Ttg Incontri 2023: Italy’s Leading Tourism Event Gathers 8,500 Experts

The 37th edition of “Ttg Incontri” officially kicked off yesterday morning. This tourism fair has become the most important event nationwide for professionals in the tourism sector.

Again this year, a true flood of people—tourism operators, owners or representatives of agencies, airline officials, and tourism office officials from all Italian regions and dozens of countries around the world—descended upon Riva, creating some understandable traffic issues as they attended this significant event.

Event Numbers and Preparations

By the end of this edition, an expected 8,500 specialized visitors will have attended (compared to 6,000 “only” in the previous edition), who will meet with the 570 exhibitors occupying the 10,500 square meters provided by the now fully completed large exhibition structure.

To be precise, however, Ttg Incontri began already on Friday, during the so-called “pre-opening”, dedicated to networking between exhibitors and their guests, where new strategies and confidential agreements are outlined.

It is worth noting that during the pre-opening alone, registered accreditations totaled a remarkable 4,900! These impressive numbers were reported by the organizers, mainly because only industry professionals participate in Ttg Incontri.

No curious onlookers, no school groups or families exploring something unusual. This exclusive focus on industry insiders is, as some exhibitors revealed, one of the secrets behind the success of this Riva event.

History and Development of Ttg Incontri

Founded in 1977 in Riva, “Ttg Incontri” became an itinerant event from 1993. It continues to demonstrate steady growth, in stark contrast to other sector events that, although significant, have been experiencing a notable decline in interest in recent times.

Yesterday morning marked the official start of “Ttg Incontri”, which also features roundtable discussions on various industry topics and emerging tourism trends. The 37th edition will officially open its doors again at 3 p.m. today.
