On Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th May, the extraordinary opening of the monumental complex of the Ugo Da Como Foundation in Lonato del Garda will take place. During these two days, visitors will have the opportunity to visit the Casa del Podestà and the Library, the temporary exhibition “Piranesi | Basilico. Views of Rome” in the Rocca di Lonato, and the temporary exhibition “Nino Ferrari. The art of metal between tradition and modernity” in the Casa del Podestà.

One of the novelties of this edition is the presence of 25 students from the III class of the G. Bagatta Classical High School in Desenzano del Garda who will act as guides during the visit. Thanks to the collaboration between the Ugo Da Como Foundation and the G. Bagatta High School, visitors can be accompanied by the students during the exploration of the places of interest.

The students have been prepared by their teacher, Roberto Berlato, to perform the role of guide during the visit. This experience is part of a PCTO project (Paths for transversal skills and orientation) that allowed the students to get to know in-depth the cultural institution based in Lonato del Garda.

The entrance ticket costs 10 euros and the proceeds could be used for the restoration of an antique object, chosen by the students of the G. Bagatta High School. The opening hours are from 10 am to 5 pm for the Rocca and the exhibition “Piranesi | Basilico. Views of Rome” and for the Casa Museo and the exhibition “Nino Ferrari. The art of metal between tradition and modernity”. Guided tours last 45 minutes and start every hour, with the last entry at 5 pm.

For information and reservations, you can contact the Ugo Da Como Foundation at the telephone number 030 9130060 or by email at prenotazioni@fondazioneugodacomo.it.

The extraordinary opening of the monumental complex of the Ugo Da Como Foundation is an event not to be missed for all lovers of culture and history. Thanks to the presence of young students as guides, visitors will have the opportunity to discover these places of interest in a new and engaging way. Don’t miss the opportunity to visit Lonato del Garda and immerse yourself in its rich artistic and cultural history.
