Upcoming Recreational and Sports Events at Sportlandia and Parco Pastore

Recreational and sporting events are resuming today at Sportlandia at the Cinque Continenti. These events, organized by the municipal council, the local council, and the Mondolandia center, had already hosted some activities in June.

The program begins today with an afternoon dedicated to football, organized by F.C. Castiglione, the team coached by Riccardo Poli that will compete starting from next September in Promozione. The event is scheduled for 4 p.m. in the sports area of the neighborhood.

On Saturday the 14th, there will be mountain biking races with G.S. Bike 96, and on Thursday the 19th, a tambourine tournament will take place thanks to the availability of the local society. The last event in July will be on Saturday the 21st, featuring the Podisti Castiglionesi at the Cinque Continenti.

Goals and development of activities

These are moments of sport and socialization aimed at engaging local youth in the activities of the neighborhood’s associations, often at risk.

Furthermore, the process for building a multi-purpose sports center in the area continues, which will include a building with locker rooms, offices, and spaces for the social activities of Mondolandia.

Recreational events and competitions

Also on the recreational front, today from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. and tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., at Parco Pastore, the seventh edition of the Trofeo Città di Castiglione volleyball tournament will take place.

The event, called Green Volley, has been organized by the sports department with the coordination of Andrea Cherubini, Matteo Bertagna, and Alessandro Romanini.

Several teams of three players will compete, and at the end, a barbecue will be offered to all participants. Participants will also receive a keepsake, while the top three teams in each category will receive a prize.
