Useful Updates From Garda Municipalities

Several municipalities on Lake Garda have issued or updated measures for the week of 20–26 July, with a focus on water saving during the current heatwave. In Bardolino, an ordinance in force since 14 July requires that water from the aqueduct be used primarily for domestic, food and health-hygiene needs, with restrictions for non-essential uses; it will remain active until 30 September 2026. Brenzone sul Garda has adopted a similar approach (Ordinanza sindacale n. 70 of 8 July 2026), banning potable water for purposes not strictly linked to human needs until 31 August 2026, while Peschiera del Garda prohibits the use of potable water from 7:00 to 22:00 for non-essential activities through the summer season.

In Garda, the local summer ordinance sets rules for bathing areas, navigation restrictions, prohibitions and signage along the municipal shoreline, and also outlines water safety services for the affected stretches until 30 September. School services updates include: Brenzone sul Garda’s online-only sign-ups for canteen and school transport (via SPID, with a parent/guardian ID document); Gargnano’s reminder that applications must be submitted every year; Salò’s reopened intake window from 15 July to 20 August 2026 for canteen and transport (no cap for canteen, with 14 places for primary and 7 for lower secondary transport); and Tignale’s new micro-nursery registration, with the service scheduled to start 1 September at the kindergarten school site. Other practical notices: Salò has simplified “cedole librarie” requests so families can ask their preferred bookshop by providing only the child’s tax code (resident in Salò), Garda is distributing free anti-mosquito larvicide tablets at the Ecology Office on Mondays and Fridays from 9:00 to 12:00, and Manerba del Garda will keep its public records access office closed on Tuesday 28 July 2026.
