Valentina Iseppi, an athlete from Gardone Riviera, has recently embarked on an important adventure at the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in Lausanne, where she is undertaking a six-month internship that began on February 1st. The twenty-eight-year-old, who has had a successful career in rowing, including world championship medals and a historic participation in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, has chosen to remain in the sports world even after her retirement. With a degree in Economics from the University of Washington, Valentina has joined the IOC’s athlete department, focusing on communication and digital activation for the Athlete365 platform.
In her new role, Valentina has found an inspiring and welcoming environment, surrounded by other Olympic athletes from various disciplines. Her experience at the IOC marks a significant step towards her professional future beyond competitive sports. While she is excited about her new career path, the former national team member continues to passionately follow the journeys of her former teammates in rowing, expressing curiosity and support for the changes occurring within the sport.
