Valerio Costa Teams Organize Summer Activities for Arco Youth

The program of the municipality’s “R…estate insieme 2000” initiative, aimed at young people spending their vacations in the city, was a great success. In July alone, over 250 teenagers aged between 9 and 13 participated in the activities organized by the Valerio Costa assessment team, which will continue until Ferragosto.

Inclusivity and Summer Activities

“The dozens of attendees confirm that, for most adolescents, the significant issue of free time exists,” comments Costa. “This problem is often worsened by the work commitments of both parents.” Then, as the schools prepare to reopen, alas, “R…estate insieme 2000” will more realistically become “Thinking about School”.

It will be three “endless” weeks dedicated to revisiting the challenging subjects (at least for many) of Italian, mathematics, and foreign languages (German and English). While awaiting the “tough times”, the multitude of young Arco residents relax with a variety of engaging activities. There is only the embarrassment of choice.

Recreational and Sports Activities

Each week features a joyful day at Parco Torbolano delle Busatte. On another day, participants savor the thrill of sailing on Lake Garda thanks to the Circolo Vela Arco. The experience of equestrian outings at Circolo Ippico di S. Giorgio is also part of the program.

In sports, there is an approach to Tai Chi (martial arts), swimming with afternoons at the Prabi pool, cycling, tennis, and street soccer. The cultural-recreational aspect is also lively, with activities such as the “great game” at the arboretum with the Trentino Museum of Natural Sciences, hip-hop dance courses, and guitar lessons.

Informatics is not left out, with introductions to computers and the ever-expanding Internet. Numerous trips to popular destinations are organized (Gardaland, the Safari Zoo, boat rides on Lake Garda, Castel Beseno, and more). To participate, call 0464/583607.
