Vasco Rossi will be awarded the XV Vittoriale Prize, conferred by the Foundation to artists who have made a significant impact in their field. The president, Giordano Bruno Guerri, and the Board of Directors of the Foundation have chosen to award the prize to Vasco Rossi for his extraordinary career and for inventing the genre of Italian rock, breaking the mold and remaining true to himself over the years.

The award ceremony will take place at the Vittoriale degli Italiani in Gardone Riviera on Wednesday, April 17 at 5:00 PM. After the prize is presented, there will be a conversation between President Guerri and Vasco Rossi. This special event precedes the singer’s tour, which will take place in June, with concerts already sold out in Milan (San Siro stadium) and a grand finale in Bari (San Nicola stadium) with four consecutive concerts.

The Vittoriale Prize has been awarded in the past to other distinguished personalities such as Ermanno Olmi, Paolo Conte, Umberto Veronesi, and Piero Angela. Admission to the event is free, but reservations are required through the provided link.

This recognition is further evidence of Vasco Rossi’s lasting influence on Italian music and culture in general. His music has enchanted entire generations and has become an integral part of the soundtrack of many Italians’ lives. Despite the passing years, Vasco Rossi has continued to maintain his passion and challenge time, proving to be a true “supervissuto” (survivor).

“To the commander who, through his journey in life and music, invented the definition of ‘supervissuto,’ built a genre, that of Italian rock, adapting metrics, language, and themes, and breaking every mold, who has always had the courage to dare and challenge time while remaining true to himself. A gentle rebel capable of keeping the passion intact, enchanting generations, reflecting on his own shadows, and returning to the light using the compass of audacity.”
