Veneto Cystic Fibrosis Fight Receives €4M Donation at Fishing Festival

The event concluded with the delivery of a four million euro donation to the Veneto Association for the Fight Against Cystic Fibrosis, marking the seventh promotional fishing festival held in Ichenhausen Park along the Mincio River. The event was organized by the Sporting Fishing Association Martin Pescatore of Valeggio.

Remembrance and objectives of the event

The festival, dedicated to the memory of Valeggio native Vito Darra, who was a provincial councilor for Fishing, is now in its fifth edition. As in previous years, the organizers of the event, among various initiatives, promoted a fundraising campaign to support the association’s projects aimed at raising public awareness and collecting funds for scientific research on cystic fibrosis.

Results and activities of the association

The collected sum has already been handed over to the Veneto representative of the association, Pietro Armani, who thanked the contributors for their sensitivity and generosity towards those who suffer.

In addition to organizing social fishing competitions, the Martin Pescatore association, founded seven years ago, promotes environmental and ecological initiatives each year, such as cleaning the banks of the Mincio River.
