Verona Students Draft Clown Therapy Law for Rome Parliament Session
Hospitals equipped to offer clown therapy: this is the draft law developed by five 11th-grade students from the Benacus school institute, chosen to represent the province of Verona tomorrow morning in Rome for “Ragazzi in Parlamento” (Youth in Parliament).
The promoter of the proposal is Marcelle Righetti, almost a born legislator, given that last year she also proposed an idea (implementing a device capable of stopping cars in cases of drunk driving) that was selected within the same initiative. On that occasion, Violante and ministers Bindi and Berlinguer were among the audience members.
Veronese students’ representation in Rome
For the second consecutive year, the Cavalcasene institute has the task of representing Veronese students at the Chamber of Deputies. Accompanying Righetti, this morning, were Dimitri Sandini, Giuseppe Giacometti, Elisa Tessari, and Marta Manelli.
This is a unique and fascinating experience that concludes a process started at the Provveditorato della provincia di Verona: it is here that all schools submit their projects, some of which are selected and sent to Rome.
Activities and discussions in Rome
About twenty days ago, the Parliament sent a communication inviting the five students from Cavalcasene High School. In the capital, the students, accompanied by Professor Tiziana Rizzetti, will experience a day as parliamentarians: they will be recognized on entry with assigned seats, receive passes, and vote to approve, among the six proposals admitted to discussion in the chamber, the one that will be brought to the attention of Parliament.
Among these proposals are the abolition of cockfighting and the creation of city spaces for murals; the Cavalcasene students will vote for the cancellation of the extra year that precedes the regular cycle of vocational schools.
