Verona Students Shine at Sona Literary Award Ceremony

The final event of the first edition of “Prima Penna,” a creative writing project for secondary school students in Verona and surrounding areas, will take place on April 19, 2026, at 4:00 PM at La GrandeMela ShoppingLand in Sona (VR). The ceremony will feature participating students, educators, a panel of literary experts, and cultural representatives, with awards given to the best stories in both junior and senior categories.

“Prima Penna” is part of the broader “Spazio alle Parole” initiative launched in September 2025 by La GrandeMela ShoppingLand to foster community engagement, creativity, and youth expression through creative writing. Entries were evaluated by a panel of writers, editors, and journalists, with the event emphasizing educational and collective recognition of young voices in literature. The event is free and promotes cultural dialogue within the local community.
