Vittoriale Receives Support After the Storm

An appeal by Giordano Bruno Guerri is calling on local businesses in Gardone Riviera to support the Vittoriale after the damage caused by the storm on July 17. The Vittoriale Foundation—visited every year by around 300,000 people—suffered major losses, including the breakage of the “Nave Puglia” tree, the uprooting of several cypress trees, and landslides and slippage in the Vallette area, with total damage estimated in the millions of euros.

The request also follows the results of the “Tener-a-mente” festival, held in 2026, which drew 27,016 spectators from 54 countries and across all Italian regions, boosting demand for hotels, restaurants, bars, shops and other services. Repair work on the “Nave Puglia” is being carried out with the Navy, cypresses will be replaced, while the Vallette area will require multi-million-euro investments. Support from the Ministry of Culture and the Lombardy Region has been confirmed, while funding from local operators is still to be defined.
