Vittoriale Reopens D’Annunzio’s Mausoleum and Auditorium in Gardone Riviera Amid Restoration Efforts
Over the weekend of March 14-15, 2026, the Vittoriale degli Italiani Foundation celebrated a key milestone in its ongoing restoration efforts, unveiling fully restored monument spaces including the Mausoleum and Auditorium. The event, titled “Fatica senza fatica,” highlighted the reopening of the Mausoleum, featuring new lighting designed by A2A to enhance its symbolism and preserve its heritage through energy-efficient LED technology.
The celebration also included the acquisition of original archives related to the Patto Marino, a significant document authored by Gabriele d’Annunzio. Additionally, multiple art exhibitions opened across the region, showcasing works by Ugo Mulas, Lorenzo Capellini, Umberto Mariani, and Emanuele Gregolin, while new displays in Brescia and Pozzolengo expanded the Vittoriale’s cultural influence beyond Gardone Riviera.
