From June 3rd, businesses located in the historic center of Riva del Garda will have to comply with new provisions regarding cardboard collection. These measures have been introduced to further improve the waste separation service, aiming to reduce the time that waste is exposed and ensure greater urban order.

The new rules require cardboard to be displayed on the morning of the designated collection day – Monday, Wednesday, and Friday – by 9:30 am. This change has been agreed upon by the Municipality of Riva del Garda in collaboration with the Alto Garda and Ledro Community, Sogap, and representatives of the local business categories.

The main objective of this initiative is to prevent cardboard from being exposed during the evening, night, and early morning hours, thus contributing to maintaining greater cleanliness and decorum in the historic center. The request was formalized through emails or PEC (Certified Electronic Mail) sent by the Community to the businesses concerned.

Considering the logistical difficulties related to collection in certain specific areas of the historic center, such as Via Fiume, a dedicated collection point for cardboard has been set up on the designated days (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday by 9:30 am). This point is located adjacent to the well in the street and is part of an experimental initiative that will be the subject of future communications.

The municipal administration has expressed gratitude to the valley community and Sogap for their continuous support in improving the service. Special thanks are also extended to the involved business categories who, despite the challenges and additional burdens, actively collaborate month after month to optimize waste separation.

This dedication has yielded tangible results: in the month of April, the waste separation rate reached 81%, a significant figure that testifies to the effectiveness of the collective efforts made so far.
