Water Crisis in Tignale: Potable Water Use Restricted

Tignale has issued a water-use advisory dated August 2, 2026, signed by Mayor Daniele Bonassi, asking residents and visitors to use drinking water only for household and hygienic-sanitary needs. The move follows an initial supply shortfall linked to prolonged high temperatures and a lack of rainfall.

The municipality said the measure is intended to allow local reservoirs to refill during night hours and to keep water service steady over a 24-hour period. It warned that if consumption reduction is not sufficient, water could be shut off during specific time slots.
