Water Emergency in Riva del Garda: Restrictions for Campi
Riva del Garda has issued an ordinance limiting the use of drinking water in the Campi area due to an ongoing water emergency. The measure, signed by Mayor Alessio Zanoni and valid until further notice, follows a drop in spring availability worsened by high temperatures and lack of rainfall, and includes the closure of public drinking fountains.
The order bans washing private vehicles, cleaning private courtyards and spaces, filling swimming pools, and watering gardens and vegetable plots with high-consumption systems. Commercial and production uses remain allowed, as does irrigation using small manual watering cans. The municipality said critical conditions are worsening in the water supply system and urged residents to cut waste to avoid rationing or scheduled supply interruptions.
