A 48-year-old windsurfer was rescued this morning off the coast of Tignale after experiencing an accident during his sporting activity. The alarm was raised when his friends, who had returned to shore, noticed his absence and initiated a search. It was discovered that the man had broken the mast of his windsurfing board and was struggling in the surrounding waters.

The rescue operations were coordinated by the Coast Guard, with support from the fire brigade. Fortunately, the windsurfer was located about a mile from the shore, near Prà de la Fam. Once recovered, the man, who resides in Ospitaletto, was transported to the dock without any serious health consequences.
