Winter sales for 2024 will kick off on January 4th, marking a crucial moment for local commerce, especially in the Lake Garda area. With a wide and diverse range of offerings, local shops are gearing up to meet consumer expectations by providing discounts on a vast assortment of products from top brands.
According to data from an IPSOS survey conducted for Confesercenti, about 46% of Italians have already decided to take advantage of the offers, while an additional 50% will consider promotions before making a purchase. The average budget expected is around 218 euros per family, with slightly higher spending in the central regions of the country. The most sought-after products include sweaters, sweatshirts, shoes, and pants, with a renewed interest in denim.
**Shopping in Physical Stores**
Despite the growing popularity of online shopping, 81% of consumers plan to make at least one purchase at a physical store. This trend underscores the importance of local shops, where trust and service quality continue to play a decisive role. Furthermore, winter sales remain the most appreciated promotional event, surpassing Black Friday with a preference ratio of 5 to 2.
**Comments and Outlook**
Benny Campobasso, President of Fismo Confesercenti, emphasizes that sales are a fundamental opportunity for traditional commerce, despite the climatic conditions that often hinder winter clothing sales. The timing issue remains open: according to Confesercenti, it would be preferable to postpone the start of the sales to the end of the season to avoid devaluing merchandise prematurely.
