About twenty brave souls participated in the Epiphany Dive, which took place on the morning of January 6 at the Spiaggia d’Oro in Desenzano. This fifth edition of the event, organized by Benaco 2.0 Lifeguard with the support of various sponsors, attracted daring participants not only from Desenzano but also from Peschiera and Salò, as well as individuals who traveled from Milan, Rimini, and Sanremo. The participants faced the frigid waters of the lake, with temperatures well below 10 degrees Celsius, dressed in themed Befana costumes.
The initiative proceeded smoothly and showcased a wide age range among the swimmers: the most experienced was 76 years old, while the youngest was little Matteo, just 5 years old. This winter challenge reaffirmed the community’s affection for local traditions and moments of camaraderie, all marked by courage and lightheartedness.
