A pack of wolves has torn apart five sheep and a young goat during the night between July 7th and 8th, 2024 in Ferrara di Monte Baldo, in the Mezzavilla area. The animals were part of a small flock kept in a fenced meadow owned by Lorenzo Palmierino. The predators managed to jump over a 2.5-meter high fence and silently attacked the sheep, some of which were pregnant.
Provincial Guards intervened on the scene to handle the disposal of the killed sheep carcasses. The incident raises concerns about the safety of local livestock and the management of wildlife in the area.
