Words on Water Literary Festival Heads to Port Square for the 2026 Weekend
The Parole sull’Acqua literary festival, known as Parole sull’Acqua 2026, will take place over the weekend of 2026 at Piazza del Porto, featuring writers, journalists and cultural figures in public talks. The program will open with writer Ben Pastor in the afternoon, followed by magistrate Nicola Gratteri in the evening.
Confirmed speakers include Giovanni Grasso, Cristina Tomasi, Catena Fiorello Galeano, Alice Malerba, Piergiorgio Pulixi and Luca Bianchini, with sessions hosted for the second year running by journalist Emma D’Aquino. The event is promoted by the Department of Culture; for 2026 an Italian Sign Language (LIS) interpretation service will be provided in collaboration with Manuela Giuliani of Darma Inclusion.
