WWF Italy Launches Campaign for Accessible Nature Experiences
The fundraising campaign organized by WWF Italy took place yesterday morning and will continue until 6 pm this evening in Piazza Cavour in Riva.
This initiative, by the environmental association, has a clear social as well as natural purpose. The funds will be used to enable people with disabilities to visit, without any issues, each of the thirty thousand hectares of Italian territory managed by WWF under its protective wing.
Partners and objectives of the initiative
The partner in this effort, which will assist the environmentalists in designing accessible routes, is the Associazione Nazionale Famiglie Disabili Intellettivi e Relazionali (Anffas), with the Nazionale Cantanti also supporting the promotional activities.
“With this project,” the organizers write, “WWF aims to promote the ‘right to nature for everyone’ and to make the association’s actions universal and cross-cutting.”
Involvement and collection methods
The event will take place in 700 Italian squares and will involve a significant number of volunteers. “Any contribution will be accepted,” the initiative’s promoters report, “and the funds raised will be used to finance this project.”
