Young People and Growth Opportunities in Lower Garda

A new project called “Horizons of the Future” has been launched in the Lower Garda area of Brescia, aimed at restoring centrality to young people within local communities. Active from October 2024 until September 2025, the project is funded with a contribution of 60,000 euros from the regional LOMB_GIOVANI 2024 call for proposals, and involves collaboration between the Municipality of Desenzano del Garda, various social cooperatives, and the neighboring municipalities of Sirmione and Pozzolengo. The initiative seeks to address the needs of young people and provide opportunities for personal and professional growth, through a renewal of the Informagiovani service, which will become a true “network agent.” Among the planned actions, the strengthening of the territorial network among entities and services is highlighted, along with the inclusion of more vulnerable youth such as NEETs and students at risk of dropping out of school, as well as the implementation of extracurricular internships. Over 500 young people have already participated in orientation sessions and experiential workshops, receiving positive feedback from the involved operators.
