Youth Regional Championship 2025: XIV Zone FIV Reports Membership Growth and Success in Castelletto

The XIV Zone of the Italian Sailing Federation (FIV) launched its 2025 season with an assembly attended by FIV General Prosecutor Traversa and CONI Trento President Paola Mora. The event included awards for the 2025 Youth Zone Championship and recognition of athletes achieving national and international success, held at Castelletto di Brenzone.

Under President Gianpaolo Montagni’s leadership, the zone focused on supporting clubs, youth sailing development, and strengthening institutional relations. Tesseramento (membership) increased by 4% compared to 2024, totaling 441 new members, driven by Vela Scuola and Scuola Vela initiatives. The zone hosted significant regattas, supported offshore activities, and achieved a total of 149 podium finishes across youth and senior competitions. Technical activities involved around 340 athletes across nine clubs, with 265 regattas conducted by 86 officials over 2,309 hours.
